SEAT have confirmed they are to run diesel Leon's this year. :)

Touringcartimes has just released an article on it.

Fantastic news in the light of recent events over at VXR. Not that I think Tom will become a consistent race winner overnight. It predict it will take time for him to adjust to such a powerful and competitive car as the Vectra. I think as good as it was, last season WSR's BMW 320si's I feel struggled to match the pace of the Vectra. Certainly their seems a quality difference between the two cars. But I think we can all sleep with a bit more confidence tonight knowing that if testing goes to plan once they take delivery of the engines we could have an even faster Leon to support this coming season.

Only thing we have to wait on is to see what the FIA do with the diesel regulations in the WTCC. As whatever the S2000D rules dictate in the WTCC. The BTCC will likely follow.

That's because of the difference between local S2000 and world S2000 rules. SEAT were never the quickest down the straights and the BMWs struggled at times too, yet the Vectras and Civics were regularly up there. There's definitely some inconsistencies in the rulebook, despite it all being claimed to be a level playing field.

I imagine the TDi will be strong everywhere now, whereas the Toledo and Leon petrol always had their good and bad circuits. SEAT's best chance yet?

Also Erkut Kizilirmak and John George are just awaiting their respective press releases to confirm their entries.

Wikipedia aslso states that Jason Hughes' Kartworld are confirmed as running an Integra but I one did a search on Yvan Muller and it said he is was Spanish motorcyclist in the NASCAR series with Team Dynamics who is the younger brother of Jorg Muller!

A little primative joke quickly concieved from yours truly intended as an over exaduaration on the reliabilty and validity of Wikipedia but not a million miles away sadly. Their are much better materials you should be sourcing information from. So until it is on crash.net or touringcartimes then I think we can take it with a pinch of salt.

She should still be out there. Her family own her MG, so she just needs someone to run it for them. Think Kartworld might have had enough of her taking up all their time with repairs.......

Jason Hughes has bought the ex-Dave Pinkney Integra for this year according to what he was saying in Motorsport News a few weeks back.

No, it was supposed to be Colin Turkington's MG from 2006. They said a lot towards the end of last year, but that was probably just to try and generate some sponsorship.

Any news on GR Asia? Paul (Ridegeway) way back as far as August last year had a desire to do a full BTCC programme in addition to a full WTCC programme with Gavin Smith. From what I gather things seemed to have faded. The team name that was at the time yet to be announced has so far, to my knowledge, not been announced and nothing since about GR doing this coming season.
