Hello, we have an a/c issue which has been identified by a garage as the compressor. It looks like this is the well known clutch issue (bolt sticking out and spinning), so I want to DIY it and fit a new clutch plate. I am happy to do the work as it looks easy enough but all the guides I can find show it being done with the compressor removed from the car.
This is a 2010 Altea XL 1.6 tdi Ecomotive.
I really don't want to have to take it out, so has anyone done this repair with the compressor insitu and if so could they give me any advice on accessing it. I assume it will be from underneath after removing some panels etc? Not going to be able to access it from the top. Any pictures would be mega!
