Hi guys,

So I managed to get a great deal on a 2017 cupra 300 manual, the car has around 20k on it.

Now is it worth getting an extended warranty on the car ? not sure how reliable the Cupra's are.

Are there any common faults that go wrong even on the newer models that make the warranty worth it ?

Also mine has Seat nav High but the dealers don't know the difference do any of you ?

Thanks
Liam

Most common faults are the thermostat and water pump but mine has been fine and is a 2016. It’s just luck really. I wouldn’t take out an extended warranty unless it’s pretty cheap, as the car will have 1 years approved used warranty anyway if bought from a SEAT dealer.

I looked into it and it's super expensive for decent cover.

Mines a 2016 and I've just had the thermostat and water pump diagnosed as leaking (my 1yr approved used warranty runs out in 2 weeks )

Just out of interest how many miles does your car have on it ? the water pumps do seem a common fault on them it seems.

Its £349 a year for all parts and labor, the claims limit is the price of the car too. ops don't cover ware and tear or wiring.

Just under 20k.

How much is it to fix? Mine is on 37k and no issues yet

I bought a 65 plate and got a 6 month platinum warrantywise included, extended it to 12 months for about £70.

How much use it is if I actually have a problem, who knows.

I’d say for £345 it’s not worth it, chances are you won’t be paying out £345 each year but that’s my opinion
