It`s called planning a head mate. For the same money as buying/fitting a diff you can upgrade your car from 2WD to 4WD in the VW/Audi range when buying a new car.

Haha, each to their own... I have no doubt in the future I will go 4WD with another car. However 2WD means less transmission loss, so on a nice, clear, grippy day (you know how often we get those right 
) my car loves it!
