1. hose from IC to throttle body
2. hose from turbo metal pipe to DV
3. N75 hose?
4. 2 short pieces for connection of IC lower pipe

I expect soon a similar kit to be delivered. My sole interest had been the hose from IC to throttle body, I will see how I fit the rest

Fitted the hose from SMIC to throttle body yesterday.

It's very tough, hard to bend, compared to rubber, and it has larger interior diameter. While the rubber hose inflated like a balloon under boost, even strengthened with plastic cable ties, the silicone hose seems much more solid.

After the fitment, driving under boost seems a bit smoother (someone accustomed with previous setup would think it had lost some boost pressure or got turbo lag, because the jerk under throttle almost disappeared).

Second hose is obviously from intake pipe to DV and will be fitted today. Third hose seems to be from intake pipe to N75... opinions please?

The thin hose is either for other purpose than N75, or it's for a RHD car only, because it's shape does not conform to either intake to N75 hose or N75 to wastegate hose

On the other side, the hose from SMIC to throttle body barely inflates under boost, while the rubber hose bulged more even after being strengthened by two rows of cable ties :)

Effects after a few days of running:

- much smoother driving under boost;
- holds boost for longer time;
- lack of jerk under throttle gives a sluggish sensation :)

All that is similar to the effects got after I've fit the uprated downpipe.

Most likely the intake and exhaust should have been done all together, full Forge inlet hoses kit plus downpipe.

Warning:

- thin hose is for N75, fits 2000-2001 LC but not 2005 LC/LFR due to different shape of bends;
- short funnel-shaped hose to connect turbo pipe to IC pipe does not fit at all my 2005, neither in shape nor in diameter.

As I've only needed the two hoses I've already fit, I couldn't care less, but be warned.

Thats a very expensive "kit" if you can't use 60% of what your paying for. I have 03 LC so am I in the same boat as I have this on order too, FMK T005.

The funnel shaped 90-degree hose connects the turbo outlet to turbo pipe, above the engine. It also pushes the turbo pipe about 1 cm upwards and 1 cm backwards, so the two metal clamps which hold it to the engine have to be modified to fit.

By now, the only hose which didn't fit was the N75 thin hose.

do you guys know of a hose kit that includes the TIP ?? or would i just have to buy it on its own?

i wanna get a TIP but think while im at it, i may aswell upgrade other pipe. so might try save money if a kit is available

cheers

speak to creations motorsport, they offered me a deal if i bought all hoses in one i.e tip, 5 piece hose kit and breather pipes. Ignore website prices as this is under development, you will need to call or email to discuss but there stuff is on ebay. Search seller creationsmotorsport.com or search turbo intake pipe leon.

Sorry, dont think i'm allowed post the link :)

Update: the N75 hose can fit, with some effort. The bends are just like in a 2000-2001 LC, but completely different from a 2005 LC/LFR. It stretched a bit and the N75 had to be rotated on the TIP fitting, and in the end I've secured it with cable ties wrapped around the other hoses around (N75 to turbo and DV to turbo outlet).

There wasn't any apparent need for a silicone N75 hose, but since I've paid for it I had to find a use for it :)

Later Edit: boost buildup is much steadier. It may be possible that some fluctuations caused by the N75 in other people's cars are actually related to heat-weakened N75 hoses, while the valve itself runs fine.
