6 Speed

Hi,
I have a few questions regarding a 6-speed gearbox.
Firstly, would the 6speed box from the later tdi engine (130 and 150 PS) fit onto the earlier 110 engine (2000 SE).
If this is possible, would one have to change the gate (area that designates the gear inside the car). And change the linkages?

Also is this the same box that is in the 6-speed leons?

Also does anyone have any experience of using a short shift kit with a toledo? Is it the same as the Leon one? Is there one for the 5 speed and one for the 6 speed.

I can't see why it wouldnt fit, but you would need

Gearbox
Flywheel
Clutch
Shifter
Cables
Starter motor
Driveshafts
Clutch pipework
Dog bone mount

Gets pricey

Thanks for the reply,
Would you need to replace (as in are they all different parts) all of these parts with the corresponding 6-speed ones.
Sounds like it'd be quite a job!
Do you think it'd be easier to replace the whole lump and box?

Yeah you need to replace as the fitments are different from the 5 speed.

Not worth swapping the whole lot, be better to get a PD130 anyhow imho as they are cheap enough.
