And you can see why it has the torque limit it does, the clutch is tiny, Very different to the bigger 6 spd DSG as this has a dry clutch set up and interestingly sealed for life with no interval for an oil change or filter.

Pretty compact and aside from the awkward driveshafts and breeze to fit

Tiny clutch :-o

Although it could be a multi layer one, I can't tell from the pics

Also I thought DSG had twin clutches ???

interesting pics

You don't say:sick:
I am curious how this incredible sports gear box will handle...let's say 240 bhp?:drive2:

LOL @ "you don't say", you see unlike you I was being ploite. When I said "although it could be" I could have said "you dopy cnuts it's a multi layer clutch and there are 2 of them".

I reckon it will handle it fine, there are DSG boxes all over the place that run more than that. It's just down to misuse really and with DSG that is almost imposible

At the end of the day if you don't like it, don't buy it

tiny ? doesnt look that much smaller than a standard clutch to me to be honest

wasn't the 6sp wet multi plates and 7sp has gone over to twin dry ones now then ?

how big is it 200/240mm??

Why are they only doing the Cupra in DSG and not offering a manual?

I'm unsure how well the DSG would hold up with a remap etc, I don't fancy forking out to replace the gearbox every couple of years

I agree with Flapper, looks like a standard sized small engine clutch to me, and isn't the filter under the black plate in pic 3?

I wouldnt have a 1.4 TSI anyway, it reminds me of the Polo G40 - remap it on a used charger and it'll blow up!
