Hi all. New to the forum as I bought a 64 plate Leon FR 184 2.0 diesel.
Like the title suggests, a massive thank you to this forum.
I bought my Leon from Evans Halshaw Ford Grantham.
Had a couple of issues with it, and one of those issues this forum has helped fix. So thank you very much.
1. Fuel flap stuck, due to half the end of the lever that pushes it open being snapped off.
Evans replaced the full housing (no charges incurred)
2. Cabin not warming up. Maximum temperature at 21 degrees and passenger side blowing cold. Cabin smelling of coolant after driving it hard.
-Evans replaced the thermostat as they thought that was the cause. They were wrong.
As many of you noted within this forum the heater matrix gets blocked.
I suggested this to Evans the second time they had it well guess what, the fixed it and the cause? HEATER MATRIX HAHAHA!
A big shout out to Evans Halshaw Ford Grantham as they had it back twice within the 1st month of my ownership.
They replaced the fuel flap, thermostat, cambelt/waterpump and chucked in 2 new tyres all free of charge.
