Anybody have an idea why Seat went back to a 'standard' car design for the Mk3

Personally I really like the hidden rear door handles, and the wipers in the A pillars are unique touch I've never seen before
Sort of makes the Mk2 stand out from the crowd a bit

Hopefully it solved the massive blind spots the mk2 has...

Believe me, the visibility, especially the mirrors, are a vast improvement than my (well the wifes) previous hairdressers car

Rear door handles confused people and SEAT say lost them sales with people thinking it was a three door.

MK3 offers three body styles instead of one.

Agree on blind spots on the MK2.

I love the wipers on the mk2 too. I know what you mean about the mk3, it's just like every other car now. I think it looks good but a bit too bland. From what I gather, the mk3 is full of rattles and creaks, the early ones at least.

The main bonus to new mk3 is theres now a 3 door version.....dont get me wrong i do prefer the style of the mk2.....my main complaint is that seat have taken YELLOW off the colour range....it would have been great to have choice....just a shame ....as i really was looking forward to seeing how a 3 door looked ....will have to be satisfied with ivory white
