ABS / Wheel speed sensor

My abs light comes on after a few seconds of pulling away, usually when I hit between 20-30mph. I'm guessing it's the wheel speed sensor. Before it comes on I can hear and feel the abs crunching when I brake and it sounds like it's one of the front wheels. Is there a way to tell which one it is before I fork out £60 on a replacement? Cheers

You would need to use a scan tool that covers ABS as well as engine, like VCDS or Carista or ?

There are other ways but they would rely on you having an 'scope and probe each sensor lead for a steady output waveform when each wheel is rotated.
