AC profile?

Hi all, whilst messing with buttons the ac image came on screen giving me options for ac profile. What is it and what's the difference??

Is this the one where you can set it to "eco", for example? I think it just alters the "power" of the a/c so eco will use less fuel but it obviously won't be able to get the car as cold in the middle of summer. I've never noticed a huge difference on either front though.... it seems to be almost as effective in "eco" and isn't actually noticeably more economical!
