After mullering my wheel I'm thinking about getting some tyres with rim protectors and I just wondered how well they do actually protect the wheel?

Has anyone got any pics of an 18 with one of these tyres one?

Thanks :)

The protectors on my P7s work really well

I've rubbed against high kerbs a number of times, adjacent and at angles. No marks on my wheels at all.

I agree, rim protectors do work so long as you only stroke kerbs on occasion - had a SAAB 93 for three years wil no kirbing through use of rim protectors (and not letting my missus near the car - lol)

Dunlop SP Sport Maxx have excellent rim protection . Not the greatest of tyre performance wise, but have saved my bacon on several occasions on my old LCR and my new Golf GTI. They can withstand minor kerb scrapes with ease.
