Airbag Light but a bit different

Hi all,
Basically the airbag light has been on for nearly 2 years after the previous owner removed the passenger seat in an attempt to dry out the floor.
when it was plugged back in the light came on.

I have had a diagnostics expert plug in and read the fault, turn the light off and check all the airbag sensors. The sensors are all working fine and the system is saying its operating correctly but the airbag light came back on next time I used the car. So I have just ignored it since, but now apparently MOT rules have changed and it has failed the MOT due to the light being on.

When fault read again it says something like 'passenger airbag sensor fault and passenger airbag switch faulty'.

Can anyone advise me on this? I have read a heap of other threads about a problem under the drivers seat but all the fault codes are saying passenger seat.

Any ideas?
