...quick advice required !!

Those of you that purchased your Leon from new, did you go for any options?? I currently have a '52' Leon Cupra but getting the new shape FR I am growing to like more & more.

The options list isn't too extensive from SEAT's website so I was after an idea as to what the most popular, must have, sensible ones people think are best. As above its the FR TDi I'm considering.

Currently the ones that spring to mind are:-

- 18's.
- Bluetooth.
- iPod Connection.

I would like the Sat Nav also, but this starts to become pricey for a potential new car (given that it will drop in value over the next few years).

Comments / suggestions please !!

Good choice there! nothing else is essential really. you may have to specify Front passenger airbag disconnection, but might be free?

The most common options seem to be Bluetooth and Conveniance Pack.
The air-bag disbalement option is £30 now.
I ordered the above 3 options, might even try and get the new black wheels with it too!

I was originally having the 18's, Bluetooth and the USB connection, but would have been waiting a while for the car and lost out on the 0% finance deal. Luckily there was one in the system but I've ended up without the USB connection and gained the passenger airbag disable and the convenience pack. I don't think I'll miss the USB connection as the stereo can play mp3's anyway, the convenience pack will be just that.....convenient.

Just picked mine up yesterday with 18s, Winter Pack(heated seats are very nice[B)] ), convenience pack (got purely for the auto dimming mirror), alu door trim (brightens up inside), Armrest (very comfy), rear parking sensors and rear side airbags.

Like everyone else says go for Bluetooth (I didn't as my company supply kit) but used it on a demo car and its very good.

Also click here for Seat site accessories (sorry if this is a repost).

Ditch the ipod
I love the i-pod, keeps the car clear of cd's but each to his own I suppose. I took the:
Black paint (lovely but a pain to keep clean)
Bluetooth ( Works well now I dont put the phone in the cubby hole in front of the gear lever)
18'' wheels(as the black paint)
Convenience pack(as said before-worth it for the mirror alone)
Winter pack(Dont really know if it's a necessity yet, but the headlamp washers impress most children :))
I-pod connector ( as before - I think it's great)
Rear airbags ( purely because the car was on the system and it had all the other options I wanted)
The demo car I tried had sat-nav but I didnt really like or need it and it seemed pricey at £1500.
I've had the car a month now and absolutely loving it. Hope you get the same experience :)

I got mine new (company car). I have the 18's and it does need them as look s total pants witht the 17's.

Convenience pack is excellent and worth it, just leave lights and wipers on auto and they sort themselves out, especially wipers which speed up and slow down as required.

Winter pack just for a nice warm tush this time of year.....excellent,

I got extra airbags as have kids and wouldn't forgive myself if something did happen and I could have prevented it. It doesnt have to be you that makes the mistake remember.

Didn't bother with Blue tooth, sat nav or ipod as a tomtom is cheaper and does all 3. I didn't get the totmtom wiring either though. Yes there are 3 cables coming of it but I can live with that for the difference in price: - tomtom £350 for top of range which comes with remote against about £1500 in other extras. Easy choice really. You never get your money back for extras anyway and you can use tomtom in any car so why restrict yourself?

Ok I might be getting soft but the heated seat are great and far better than other makes I have had. If you suffer with any back pain they are fantastic, but I would still have them anyway, they heat up within seconds.

It may be more helpful if you let us know why you think it is so bad. Cheers Gordon

Mainly because it doesn't display any track info _at all_ on the headunit, there's no way to easily navigate to specific tracks...

In short, you'd probably spend less time messing around with an ipod plugged in via the aux port and mounted somewhere - you'd also retain full ipod functionality.
