I dont mind the onboard stereo, it has bluetooth, and sounds OK.

But I could do with Bluetooth streaming, and USB control.(play files from USB stick)
I have seen the boxes that fit onto the changer port of the stock stereo, do these also show the tag information of the MP3 on either the MFD or the stereo display?

My other option is go to an android based stereo has anyone had any experience with one of these types of units?

    TIA

AFAIK the CD changer adaptors will only display text if radio supporting CD-Text feature. Not sure if standard radio supports it.

On Ford forum some people fitted cheap Chinese Android (or WinCE) headunits and generally they seem to be happy about these. Except for the guy whose car went on fire that's it... :)

Have you considered RNS310/315 units? These support SD cards (32Gb max)
Alternatively how about standard aftermarket radio with steering wheel adaptor?
