Altea Stylance central locking issue

Hi all,
new to the site, and new to the Seat Altea.

just picked up an immaculate, low miles, one owner 1.9tdi 2005.

Everything works as it should, except…the interior lock / unlock button.
All doors lock and unlock with the key and the fob, interior lights, and door open buzzer all function as intended.
Car locks itself above 15mph et etc etc.
BUT the little lock / unlock button does nothing, except light up when the doors are locked.
Just replaced the switch with a new one from Seat. Still nothing.

Any help would be appreciated!
Cheers
Russ

Not sure if there is a fuse for it? Otherwise you might have to follow the wire and look for a break?

I don't think there is a separate fuse for the console switch, but I haven't checked the wiring diagrams for that. My bet would be a wiring break at the door hinge, since the locking function is performed by the door control unit, which is in the door. I have a similar issue with the electric mirrors which have stopped responding to the switch. I will most likely get a replacement switch from GSF with their current generous discount to folks that have bought from them recently, but fear I will have to get inside the door panel if that doesn't work.
