Android 7 and Bluetooth woes

Hi,

I have a Sony xperia z5 phone, all was well until they updated it to android 7. As soon as they did this it messed up the Bluetooth in the car, music would play but meta data is missing and steering wheel navigation does not work.

After much research the concensus was that android 7 was s##t and full of bugs. I waited 3 months and today they pushed out 7.1.1, great should be fixed, no such luck...

It's now starting to look like the media system in my 63 fr only supports avcpr 1.5 and Android 7 uses a later version.

First question, has anybody else got this, secondly where can I get hold of a firmware upgrade for the media system?

Same problem with my 2015 Leon ST. Have never been able to see track information on the display. Have tried several phones. Now on brand new OnePlus 5. Still not showing.

I haven't had any issues with Android 7. Using a OnePlus 3T. I get all the metadata when streaming music via bluetooth except no album art (flaw with Spotify).

I actually have a Sony Xperia Z5 Compact on Android 7 that I can test with my '14 FR. I recently upgraded my media system to 0485. I'll give this a test, but won't be able to get back to you until tomorrow sorry.

I am suffering from severe bluetooth problem as well - whenever someone is calling me, the phone drops it's connection to the media unit. I can call out most of the times without problem. Other times I can make a call, but the sound is not via the car loudspeakers, but only the phone, or I can hear people in car loudspeakers, but they cant hear me, as the microphone used, is the one in the phone *sigh*

My unit does not have the navigation button, its the 'older' media system i think, but I am not sure of the version. Do any of you per chance know if that can be updated, the part number is 5f0035869a and bluetooth version is C860.
