Anyone retro fitted a multifunction steering wheel before?

I was looking at FleeBay tonight and came across a FR Steering wheel and a normal Leon Steering wheel both with the Audio Controls.
Anyone know if its hard to change from the normal steering wheel to one with the multifunction buttons on it? Do I need to get a new control module for it?

I dont believe they do, someone tried a while ago with a cupra wheel.
