Are OEM parts remanufactured or new?

Does someone have information if VW OEM parts are all new or some are remanufactured?

They SHOULD be new parts unless stated otherwise.

Some parts will be just remanufactured parts, but they will be identified by an "X" in the part number, in these cases, for example water pump or power steering pump, an excess will get charged when you buy one of these parts and the excess is refunded when you hand back in the worn/faulty part if it is in a condition where it can be remanufactured.
