Are VW CC's Worth Buying? Do They Hold Value?

Hi,

I'm looking at buying a new (used) car and have been thinking about the VW CC (2014 plate).
Its the 1.8 turbo petrol version, with around 40k on the clock. Cost = £9K~

I'm in my early 30's and I've come to the decision I'd like a car with some uumph rather than 'super economical' as I'd end up just ragging it when driving up hills or out of fast moving junctions.

The question is - does the car hold its value? I've read online about the car and it turns out to be one of VW's less successful models, hence it being drawn from the production line.

Can anyone lend a hand, and maybe a few opinions, on whether this model of car would be worth buying?

P.S. I'm UK based, if that makes any difference.

Thanks!

You will get a better answer from a VW Site, this is a Seat (part of the VW Group but not VW) forum.

Now if you want to talk about buying a Seat Leon / Ibiza FR/Cupra you will get lots of helpful feedback.
But the VW Less so.

160ps engine is hardly pushing things performance wise as well.

No car really holds its value either, as they age the depreciation lowers but the maintenance costs start to rise.

I quite like the look of them. If you like it and the price and condition is good , why not try it ans see for yourself?
