Auto Light's don't work - Am I being stupid?

My new 2009 cupra has auto lights, i've turned the light selector dial to 'Auto' but they never come on at all.

I'm currently using the manual options. It's going back to to dealer on tuesday for something else and they are going to have a look for me.

Anyone know where the sensor is?

Deffo a problem I think. If set to auto if you cover the sensor on the screen with your hand the lights should come on.

Kepp the auto wipers off when you do this as they may smack your hands.

The sensor for the lights and wipers is in the upper left of the windscreen, pointing out of the headlining almost. Sounds like the sensor is not working properly...

You should see "AUTO" lit in orange on the light switch ring when the auto lights are on, and then the headlight icon lit in green and everything else in red when the sensor has turned the lights on if that's any help.

Cheers guys, definately sounds like a problem then as that doesn't do it. Auto light illuminates orange but they don't function.

I'll point it out on tuesday.

Cheers guys
