Bad smell from fan even after cabin filter replacement

I have a bad mouldy/grassy smell coming from the fans for a minute when turned on. It goes away after a bit. I've replaced the cabin filter but the smell remains. What other parts are easy to check for bad smells? I've watched a tutorial on how to access the fan motor but wanted to check with you guys first.

I'd checked under the rain water cover thing below the windscreen to see if there is any vegetation debris down there rotting away - and remove it, then buy an AC "bomb" and discharge it as per the instructions in the cabin.

I followed a tip I found on the internet. Blasted the heater for a few minutes. It pretty much got rid of the smell. Just wanted to share if someone else encounters the same issue.
