Hello, hope you might be able to point me in the right direction (cupra mk1 auq)
Alternator bearing was on it's way out clunking and whirring heavily so replaced it with an RTX 120a model (cheap basically).
Was fine for a few days but now in the morning my battery is completely flat. No clock or dash lights etc.... Car won't even unlock. Tried a new battery, leaving it unlocked overnight and no success. Battery is charging at 14.39v.
Could the unit be draining the battery?
My next step is to put the old alternator back in and see if the issue happens again. If not is it worth getting a better quality replacement?
Thanks for your time - Dan

Can you use the meter you tested the charging voltage with to test for a drain when everything is off?or get the battery tested for a faulty cell maybe take the alternator back to where you got it to get a replacement if it is faulty and then so under warranty, in a past job we sold loads of RTX units with few problems.
