I’ve moved from a 16 plate zetec S fiesta to the Ibiza FR and the standard speakers are pants!! When I’m on the phone I can hear the dreaded vibration noise, when the radio is on full volume I can still hear myself, and when on Apple play the radio is more on “medium” than loud.
I wish I had upgraded but unfortunately mine was a stock car as I didn’t want the wait!!

I came from a 16 Plate Zetec S as well and I find the Ibiza's Audio way better The Fiesta sounded thin and wooley with poor bass and no detail (unless of course you had the Sony upgraded system but then thats hardly a fair comparison). The sound is cleaner, better bass, better treble and more detail. As is being discussed on another thread, there does seam to be a volume issue with carplay/Android auto however a Google search shows this to be an issue with that rather than the car.

Yeah I went from the 15 plate fiesta to the 16 plate and there was a big difference in the speakers. Matched those in the ST. The volume in the FR doesn’t go as loud at all... I mean, I can have it on full and still hear myself

I picked my car up last week and I’m enjoying the beats audio pleased I chose it.

There is a distinct lack of people that go for the Beats option, but having heard the original sound system I personally think it's very adequate for most people.

Although the stock system was very balanced overall, for me the extra punchy bass was missing due to the lack of subwoofer. I'm probably alone in this preference, but the exaggerated bass appeals to me in the Beats system, so is a must have have for me.

I previously had a 15 Plate ST with the Sony system and wasn't that impresses with it. I thought it had better clarity than the standard system but I thought the Bass was quite low and that the bass was kinda absent compared to the standard system. I have to say that The Standard Set up in the Ibiza FR is the best sounding system I have had in a car and I really enjoy the sound.

The issue I have with companies like Beats and Bose for example is they think that by increasing the bass equals better sound quality. If you look at their range of products they are all about thumping bass and less about ultimate quality. Now while I appreciate you are never going to get Hi-Fi sound in a car, to me I want a well balanced sound which includes the bass. I kinda feel thats what the Ibiza has.

Maybe down to setup too. But the radio on my FR is very quiet in comparison, even comparing to Bluetooth streaming :/

For me 1/3 on the volume meter for MP3s from SD cards and 1/4 volume on DAB radio is more than enough volume and bass for me. Incidentally I have yet to use the CD player on my Ibiza. Even forgot it exists! Sub is on + 2 setting. Have Seat Sound pack though...not beats

Yeah same with mine for Bluetooth Audio. But even on the loudest on radio I can still hear myself lol

The Beats system is no longer an option on new spec. I have just ordered a FR Sport. Wasn't hugely impressed with the audio on it, although it was reasonable. Does anybody have any knowledge or experience of upgrading it aftermarket yet?
