Hi there guys .

Well had my leon just under a year now and have started the expensive mods !. Have already tackled stage 1 amd , Milltek catback, yellow stuff pads and uprated discs.

last weeked purchased these ! .

after a nice hour and half drive to dorset and in a rush to get there before 1 when they shut ! i Got my new pro race 1.2s with toyo t1r tyres :D ..

Now please dont comment saying there to small. I know 18s are best for leons.. But im more of smaller wheel and more handling sort of guy ! . these make a hell of a difference over the standard heavy alloys ..
also as 2 weeks before hand i had purchased 2 brand new toyo tyres as my f1,s where slicks lol.. .. anyway. lowered and spacers and refurbed in either red or black they will look good ! ..

next this turned up today :D..

spax psx with a 30mm drop.. This will do the job untill i can get some 40 or 50mm eibach springs ! . these are going on tommoroow !..:D

im well aware with a 40mm onwards drop i need new arb to stop snairing ..

arb,s . powerflex, milltek sports cat, and stage 2 to come sooon :D

Nice mods bud and like your thinking about the sixe of wheels and handling, I'm gonna try and get some 17's for my LCR as track alloys for the same reason.
BUT!!!

If your doing the alloys for handling why are you dropping the ride height so much??

Lower isn't better when your right on the edge of the cars performance

haha pretty sweet !!.. bet she takes the bends like a beast ! .. yerr everyone round my way its all about bigger wheels :S and yer the 18s look better i think but if you can go round a corner as quick as you can in a straight line then there,s no point !

This is with the car at approx 25mm drop but slightly higher at the drivers side (1mm) to account for my weight

That looks really nice Willie....you'd have to drop a LC a hell of a lot to get it that low so I think the springs he was planning would be about right :)

the front end set up is very different between the LCR and the LC.
The main point to save against is having the wish bones pointing up the way.
With 20mm drop on the LCR the angle is very very slight to non existent.
BUT

With the same ride height on the LC the wish bone angle is all to feck and doesn't do any favours to the handling.
Therefore the best you can do to the handling of the LC is change out the hub carrier, shocks and front ARB to the LCR designed ones.

Ahh I see......Mines about as low as yours but I don't track mine its a compromise between looks and performance :)
Thats fair enough and I'm sure you handling feel good up to a point.
I've VERY impressed with the way my car handles now.
I used to have a 106 GTI lowered 30mm which used to be regaurded as the best handling car in Britian (after the Ferrari 355) at the time.
I would say my LCR would be VERY competitive with it now.

Yeah I used to have a 106 rallye that handled very well indeed.......when the rear wheels would stay on the floor :cartman:

It does handle quite well but its hardly a track weapon.......but with the money I've spent on it I don't expect it to be :)
