Beep when locking

Hi guys I was just wondering if anyone could help me I’ve tried to get the car to beep when locking and unlocking but for some reason it doesn’t want to it’s turned on in vagcom it’s a 57 plate and some of my friends have done it no problem with the same year car could there be a fuse or something for it?

Sit in car and arm the alarm with keyfob.Motion sensor should set alarm off.Close the door.

and if the alarm doesn't go off what would need changing?

Afraid could not answer that one.Try it first. Make sure motion sensor switch is active,some people switch it off if an animal is left in car when locked.

If you have VCDS then the most reliable way to test is using the output tests in the central electrics module on VCDS.

Lock and unlock chirps are selectable separately.
