being a newbie when it comes to engines can someone help

what is the benefit of fitting a forge DV

already had a TIP fitted just going through my notes when i joined on here and was recommended to get one along with a few other things that i understand, not sure if a DV is just for noise though will actually do anything perfomance wise

if its a 007p DV you mean and not the Spitter valve, its not for noise, its near silent although it make more noise than the OEM DV. people fit these as they are a more reliable OEM replacement, they wont break and are highly recommended for both mapped and standard cars.

Main thing i think is as said above about reliability as the OEM ones are plastic and fixed for stock boost where as the 007p forge item allows the fitment of stronger springs for various states of tune.
