BKD 140 Turbo machined with pd170 cr internals good for 220bhp ?

Ive got the chance to get a Bkd tdi pd140 turbo thats been machined and fitted with pd170 internals so its now 170spec

Ive been told this will now be capable of 210-220bhp would anybody agree with this ?

Also the bkd turbos are known for been rubber and failing is it the internals that cause this ? As the last thing I want is this turbo failing too

So it would be a stage 2 hybrid then? What company is doing the work? The most common failure are the veins getting clogged up with crud, so a redline to get the turbo nice and hot every so often helps sort this issue, but not a permanent cure. Oh and if you want an unfitted stage 2 hyrbid for a 140BKD let me know as I've got one.

All I know is its a bkd turbo with 170 internals gt1749vc spec
