Orderd Cambelt and water pump kit from Awsum GTI as I found out it had not been changed yet.(wicked Delivery) came to around 100 quid including delivery

Fitted my new cambelt and pump took about hour and half,no problems at all, wearnt as hard as i thought it would be with the help from a mate.

Old cambelt and pump:

Orderd a green cotton open filter took about 1 month to come lol bout 80quids i think

also orderd forge 007p dump valve from Awsum(again wicked delivery)

fitted the dump valve and filter straight away :):

Also took the n249 valve or what ever its called off:

I know peeps been saying it only makes a little difference to the dump sound, but mine had a big increase and sounds alot clearer now.

Also when doing that I found a split vaccum pipe goin to a valve under the turbo intake pipe,I replaced this with a new vaccum pipe and reset the ECU and my engine light has stayed off for a while now :) so hope that was the problem.

Picked up a Leon Splitter £17 from White Dove in Cardiff, also orderd 40mm Koni lowering springs from Awsum £100,don't wanna spend money on coil overs for now and wanted to lower it a bit. Also got some German number plates form www.frenchplates.com
Fitted these at the same time and heres how its looking now:

SNC00005.jpg

Ignore my huge exhaust that came with the car lol

Came across a problem when lowering didnt realise I had to adjust the front cambers, ending up with a positive camber and not noticing ripped my tyres to shreads lol

Can see the positive camber in this picture a bit:

SNC00004.jpg

up to date now,im waiting to get car booked in to adjust cambers and tracking. When that is done two new tyres lol

Also booking in for end of january for a turbo back Pro Speed exhaust:

3" turbo down pipe
High flow sports cat
2.5" full system

Cant remember quote exactly but was around the £800 mark.

Anyone Using Pro Speed let me in on some advice, heard they are really good see.

Sweet mate looks like you've cleaned it up a hell of a lot! One thing though with your new exhaust, if you're going for a 3" downpipe then 2.5" for the rest of the system surely you're just defeating the object of the 3" downpipe if youre limiting it elsewhere!

Have you thought about blueflame and Milltek for the turbo back exhaust? Both have developed downpipes specifically for the mk3 with good results!

Good job on doing those mods so quickly! And your engine bay is looking much cleaner now. Been meaning to do mine for ages... and now its colder i cant see me doing it!

Cheers mate, nuh probally not good for the engine at all, don't think it would do any physical damge though, before i fixed it and replaced the vaccum pipes it was doin a average of 19MPG and was back firing like hell lol now its fixed its doing around 30MPG average and no back fires :)

Yeh have thought about blue flame.where did you get yours from? and I was told by a mate with high a moded cupra who is also using blue flame that milltek exhausts start to knock after a while,so probs avoid that.Cheers mate, yeh its been so cold last few months I wanted to get more done but go out and end up goin back in with numb hands lol

i got mine direct from blueflame. Just go to their website and find their number and ask to speak to Nigel. He is clued up on the mk3's. I ordered one and made the long drive up there from london, but the drive back was even better! Great bit of kit amd sounds great. I cant knock the fitment either, had it on 2.5months and no real issues as yet. It has a larger size downpipe aswell, larger than the milltek, so better for airflow if you want to get a bigger turbo later.

Nice one mate il give them a ring monday.Do you know what size the down pipe is.Also is it the same size all the way through to the back box or is just the down pipe larger.I do plan on getting a bigger turbo within the next 10 months :) hopefully sooner than later lol

Search a few threads on it. There is a good one with pics that compares it to the standard one. I think it starts at 3' then steps down to 2.75' then down to 2.5' for the cat back
