Got the temp sensor working, but still got hesitant issues.
Looks from what ive seen to be a huge problem with these engines so am hoping someone knows the resolve to this issue.

Today i have had the car hunting at idle as well as hesitating under boost.
So i took off the small top hose on the recirc valve and straight away the hunting stopped and the engine ticked over perfect.
Could the dv be the whole problem?. Cant drive it with hose off as will have vac leak.

Bought a new forge style recirc valve that arrived today.
Will there be any problems with using the blue spring in it on a standard car? Or should i change it for a lower setting spring?

Car is no better at all.
Surely someone on here will know, it seems like a very common problem.
Coilpacks checked at seat and are ok
New coilpack loom
New temp sensor
New water pump
New cam belt
New air filter
New dump valve
Replaced maf with known good one
Replaced oil breather hose
Done n249 and n75 bypass.

After 3.5k rpm car runs perfect, boosts fantastic.

I have had it connected, it comes up with power loss between turbo and throttle. But theres no leaks to be found. Although the turbo is loud under boost.
Changed the cat but has made no difference at all.
Currently got car up for sale(although not on here) as ive had enough of it.

seems like you have just been buying bits in hope of fixing it

have you ever run vagcom on it to diagnose the fault for any error codes?

all parts i have had replaced are from recomendations from a vag specialist near me.
always comes up with a different code as soon as one thing is fixed.
latest one is for camshaft position sensor, not had that come up before.

finally after a bit of a battle i got this fixed.
replaced the fuel pump as it was struggling to deliver just 1.8bar of pressure when it should be 3bar.
now drives spot on and is like a rocket again.
shame im not keeping it after all the effort in fixing it.
