Boot lamp

I need a lamp for the boot as for some reason mine hasn't got one. Apart from being dark, it's getting difficult to find things at this time of year (dead bodies, illegal immigrants etc )

So in order to prepare for a trip to the local scrap yard, which other VAG product has the Leon interior bootlight? I have the wires, just need the cover/bulb holder.

    Thanks,

    Natwest

Why not just get one from another model Leon from a dealers?. They can't be that much. You can get the bulb holder, lense cover and a bulb for cheap I'd imagine.
You sure you don't have one on the left hand side, underneath the plastic upper parcel shelf trim?. Near the boot opening.

I'm certain that there isn't anything there - only the wires sticking out. Was trying to avoid a 40 mile round trip for the sake of a bulb/lense when I have a fairly decent scrapyard near home with a good stock of VWs and a VW dealer only a mile away.

Try a MK4 golf boot if you can find one in a breakers or ask at a VW dealer.
Someone might be able to confirm if they are the same or not.
