Boot not opening

Checked all fuses with a multimeter and they are ok but the boot doesn't release from the outside only using the emergency release from the inside

Could be a broken or dirty microswitch in the boot handle. If you press and hold the boot unlock button on the key, can you hear the mechanism working?

Just checked, it does open if I hold the boot unlock button down for a few seconds

Probably the switch or wiring to the badge handle. Not had the problem with my Leon but on my dad's old 04 altea it was a faulty switch. That's as far as my knowledge goes!

Had a similar problem- went back to dealership and needed s new latch under warranty. All fine now.
18 plate ST.
