Hi all,

Can someone please explain exactly what teh boot release button on the remote key fob does. I can seem to get anything out of it!

Cheers

If its anything like the ones on Audi's you have to hold it in and the boot pops open. It wont work if you just plip it like the doors, at least the one on my A4 doesn't.

Similar to what cupramax says.
Press the button for a few seconds and the indicator lights will flash, you can now open the boot but the rest of the car is still locked.
When you shut the boot the car locks again and the alarm is reset as well.

Sounds like the perfect system to get you to lock the keys in the car (

Yep! So far I haven't done it, but I tend to unlock the whole car rather than the boot button.
