As it says really - for some strange reason recently my brake lights are stuck ON when I turn my headlights ON. When I brake nothing happens to the brake lights. However when I turn my headlights OFF the brake lights turn OFF and come on when I brake. However just to add to it, when the headlights are off and I brake my led sidelights come ON!!

This has only recently started to happen so not sure what it could be! I had the brake switch done about a year ago at a vag specialist. I am running LED sidelights and HID 6k headlights. And I'm driving an LCR

Ok try this mate . Seen it before on vauxhalls and a few others.
Try changing BOTH you're brake bulbs. Sometimes a bulb fails and it drops a filament onto the other filament and causes this to happen. Seems weird I know but I've seen it happen to a few cars especially the braking then front sides come on! Try it and let me know!

Sounds to me like you got an shortage between brake terminal and running light terminal.. Check the outer cluster in th boot! :)

Have you put the right bulb in? For example have you put a twin filament in instead of a single, or vice versa. Seen this happen loads of times and causes these problems.

Changed the bulb/lamp as the stupid one at halfords (as written in their book) says Cupra R 830 and that's a single filament. The other bulbs/lamps have twin filaments an they are number 832 for the Cupra (twin filament) now fitted all works fine :)
