I'm shortly about to replace all brake pads on a Leon mk.2 PD140 (of which I feel is under-braked on Seat pads when braking from 70) and a Mk.5 Ibiza 1.4 petrol.

Local indie can get Brembo, Mintex and Pagid.

Anyone any experience with the above standard OE pads compared to the Seat pads?

    Late reply.

Happily used Pagid from ECP on many cars including my current Leon which is running at around 200bhp.

In the past i have used both brembo and pagid, either seem to outperform the oem stuff. Can be quite a bit cheaper if you wait for one of the ECP or GSF sales too.

I haven't used oem pads/disks for a long time so can't really comment.

I find that Mintex disks and pads to be cheap enough and more than up to the job. Sometimes with just pads its Brembo's.
