Brake Upgrade - Exeo Estate

Hi Everyone,

New to the forum so apologies if this has been asked 1000s of times.

I have a 2011 Exeo Estate (150hp Diesel) and the brakes are pretty shocking.

I wanted to upgrade the disc size to the same as the 170hp version as I've read all you need is the larger carrier to accommodate the larger discs & pads.

Looking at the part numbers for the brake carriers between the two:
  • 150hp: 4B0-615-125-B
  • 170hp: 4B0-615-125-C
And the difference between the disc calipers (left) part numbers are:
  • 150hp: 8E0-615-123-A
  • 170hp: 4B0-615-123
Is it simply a case of ordering the larger carrier or is there more to the story?

Any help or advice would be much appreciated.

Cheers,
Ben

I have the calipers and carriers, if you’re interested. They are plug and play on the Seat Exeo.
Certainly interested. So are yours from the 170hp exeo? What size are the discs for the bigger calipers? How come you have them going spare?

They are off an Audi A6 C5 3.0 Quattro.

They are plug and play on the 120 / 143hp Exeo. They are the same 4B0 prefix part numbers.

The discs are 312mm x 25mm.
