Is that all Compomotives? I guess you mean the MO's?

Mine are ET37 and no spacers are required for the brembos.

Spacers are only required if you run 215 width tyres to prevents the tyres rubbing on the springs... ie. nothing to do with the Brembos. I ran 205x40x17 tyres on these wheels with no spacers for 8 months without problems.

    Cheers

There may also be some value in posting a list of popular wheels that don't fit (Without using massive spacers)?

It would stop people asking the question, and it may prevent some people from taking the gamble, buying them and then finding they don't fit.

    Cheers

    Bill,
    Fox FP1 7 x 17"
    offset is (i believe) ET37.
But was the standard (readily available) size fitting, -not a special order.

This related to 323 x 28mm Brembo kit on the Leon - 18" RS4 replica wheels with ET30 offset do NOT fit over Brembos, as I found out today (spokes are too flat). They fitted with 8mm spacers but this caused vibration above 60MPH - so the Brembos had to come off again!

How much wider are Brembos over standard??

Have 18" Kosei RG's on at the mo, 45 ET, 205/35/18's Have 5 mm spacers at rear (Only to stop tyres fouling Struts).
Only aprox 5-6 mm Between original Caliper carrier & inner face of wheel on standards at mo.
Brakes are wearing now & Will require replacement shortly.

    Beeza 20vt
    Thanks!

Alot - the Brembo calipers are very square-shouldered. from disc face to inner face of wheel spokes I have 58mm and that's not enough to clear the caliper, the outer edge is fine but it's the inner edge of the caliper nearest the wheel hub that's the problem, my spokes are quite flat and fouled the inner edge - with 8mm spacers I had about 2mm clear - but vibration stopped me from being happy with that setup.

you shouldn't get vibration with a good spacer on. Was the spacer hubcentric?

They were just flat spacers, so no way to accurately centre them. The problem is that these wheels are ET30 and sit almost flush with the arches, spacers will take them outside the arch which looks stupid and would cause rubbing, a 10mm spacer would make my wheels more like ET20!

In all honesty I don't actually NEED Brembos, so Tarox discs and pads will probably be more than enough anyway - looked darned hot though!

    Bill's a track nutter though!

I've used Tarox discs before and never had any problems with them, found them to be very good.

Still cant find anybody that does these slim line balancing weights. Balanced using static at the moment, don't feel right still a lot of vibration between 30-60mph. :(

On a side steep, can someone explain the difference between ET35 and ET40? Is it 5mm closer/away to/from the hub or something completely different.

The smaller the offset, the further out the wheel. eg. an ET35 wheel will be 5mm further from brake than a ET40
