Broken rear coil spring

1.8 53 plate toledo just failed mot with this broken spring. Still waiting for price from mechanic. Any idea on what cost to replace? Should both sides be done or not needed?

I'd get them both changed. If one has snapped, then the other will probably go soon as well. Plus new springs will be a lot firmer. If you only change one, the handling of the car will go a bit squiffy and it will look strange as that one new springs 'settles' down.

Can't advise on price really, however Sach's springs on ECP are £40 each for rears. Labour charges are anyones guess depending on the garage.

You shouldn't get charged masses for labour either, the rear springs are one of the easiest things to change on the car!
