Greetings, does anyone know are piston rings under number 06H198151B correct one for MK2 cupra? My local car shop site states it is, but it has been tossed around that Cupra,S3 and similar cars with forged pistons have improved pistons and rings compared to lets say BWA engines, but sites that have these rings state they fit all TFSI engines...

The CDL engine from the Cupra/Golf/S3 has forged pistons. I believe the pistons are changeable between all Cupra engine codes. But only the CDL ones are forged. Not sure on the part no difference though.

From what I know,CDL is only used in +2010 S3,TT and MK6 R. Cupra and Cupra R have BWJ engine, while S3 pre 2010 has BHZ. Only differences I know between these engines is different camshaft profiles(more aggressive on BHZ) and different webbing on the engine block. From what I know, all K04 engines have forged pistons, better rods, head etc. but also heard that the piston rings have been updated too, with people mentioning that their K04 cars use less oil than their K03 cars, but google says Mahle rings under part number 06H198151B fit all TFSI 1.8 and 2.0 engines with 82.5 mm bore.
