Can the EGR be mapped out.

We have a 2011 FR CR Facelift and a 2014 FR mark3.

The 2011 has a engine fault with the EGR cooler we have been told and its going to be around 700 to 1300 to replace depending on who we use.

It passed its MOT with the fault and we're told its not a requirement for the MOT so was thinking if you can block it off and mask the error using VAG this would be surely cheaper than replacing the EGR Cooler..

Any Pro's or Con's regarding removing it verse repairing ?

Yes it can be mapped out, even the cooler can be removed if you wish but will have to mock a pipe up for a bypass. Pro's all that carbon not going into the intake and engine causing more problems

Egr error doesnt affect the performance of the car. Just use a plate to block it like i did and live with it. Revo guys were not competent enough to remove it from software unfortunately, but in uk you find competent people who do it
