Unlucky, buddy. Sorry to hear. Mine got changed at 120.000 km, but was still in good shape at the time according to the dealer. I did it to be on the safe side. Then it was done again at 220,000 km, but the belt did show serious signs of wear this time around. Go figure. SEAT recommend a change every 90.000 km or 6 years whichever the first, but that will depend of the wear.

Gutted for you... If you were closer I'd give you a hand!

Might be worth considering a large port head as you've got to replace it anyway.

I'd suggest pulling the head before deciding on head or full engine though, chances are you've not done the pistons etc. much damage but it's worth confirming.

:coolthumbIf theres anyone out there that would help me swap this head ide pay them extreamly well but they would have to have the correct tools for the bolts for head and hex key turbo bolts

Pop down to a local toolshop, you just need a long ribe set for the head bolts and the hex like sockets are readily available at Halfords etc. :)

If you're handy with a spanner give it a go, just make sure the head bolts get torqued properly and triple check the timing before starting it
