Morning all!

I've just had a call off SEAT to say my car had finally been built and that it was winging its way to the UK and would be here within 3-4 weeks! I can't wait to take it on a nice drive around Scotland this Summer( Maybe the
North Coast 500(Scotlands Route 66 if you didn't know) but enough about that...

Whilst I was on the phone due to the long wait time for my order which is about 6 months or there abouts. which I don't think is an unreasonable length of time to wait due to it being a factory order( I had to wait 8 months for my current car). I was offered the three below gestures as an apology for the wait which I wasn't expecting so I'm even happier now!

£250 Cheque
£250 to spend on accessories and parts in a SEAT dealership
1 Free Service.

Has anyone else been offered this by SEAT or was I just lucky?

What spec did you get that took 6 months?

I placed my order at the end of march and it's on the boat now.

I've gone for and Ibiza FR 150 EVO with Full LED lights, beats audio, the pack that has the sensors and the camera and the spare tyre that comes part and parcel with the beats audio pack... pretty sure that's everything..

Probably "lucky" in that 6 months is a long time, even with Seat's lead times being quite long compared to some. All going well I should have mine next week and I ordered it at the end of February so 3 months, that's for an FR 1.5 in red w/ Beats, spare wheel and the storage pack. What car did you spec, and is it the dealership offering this or Seat themselves? Wouldn't surprise me if your dealership messed something up along the way.

This was offered by SEAT direct apparently there is an executive office down in Sheffield for the VW group or so I'm lead to believe. maybe @mjr901 can verify this is legit? I can PM the number if needed.

Late orders support is managed by the Customer Service Centre at SEAT UK. It has nothing to do with the dealer network.

Any car that is scheduled to arrive three or more weeks after both the lead time quoted in our weekly production & supply update (the information that I post here each week) and the customer required handover date entered in SLI at point of order is classed as late. It does not take into consideration retailers over-promising/making lead times up/generally being a bit rubbish.

The offer they have made you...
£250 Cheque
£250 to spend on accessories and parts in a SEAT dealership
1 Free Service.
...is the usual offer.

Thanks for the reply Scrogg! Well that's good to know it's actually legit I had no reason to believe it wasn't legit from what I have read online...

With regards to lead time I was never explicitly informed of when it would be here, Other than the dealer at time of ordering advising I'd be looking at the first week of July. Something to do with the 1.5 engine stock levels and the next batch or something along those lines not being available until the end of March...so

Either way I wasn't expecting anything as I was under the impression that it would be July so I'm a happy customer nonetheless.
