has anyone got any decent links to any carbon fiber parts? looking into getting the bonnet done. pre preg carbon. im in one mind to make a fiberglass mould of the bonnet and make my own. anyone into this sort of thing?

have you thought about carbon fibre vinyl wrapping it i am going to give it a go when my carbon vinyl arrives plus it will be cheaper and it i want to put it bk u can

try lite tuned mate they have got a mould done already for the bonnet not sure if performance trim have yet.

hahaha i dont want a crappy carbon sticker no offence tombird. robbie could you pm me some prices and location of this company looks really good carbon from the pics. also is it pre preg carbon or hand lay up ie is all the weaves straight? hand laminated?

He also knows about the full spec of these bonnets, but all the weave is straight. He can provide full carbon or carbon skin over a fibreglass frame which is what I went for. They are very good quality

hey i agree i am in the same line of work i used to make motorbike carbon parts. and that bonnet really looks the nuts. this is defo on my list of things to get. good one going for the carbon skin on fiberglass frame its the way forward not much in the wieght differnce at all. or i could just get a sticker lol

:) Good thing with these is that they also have a bonnet catch built in- though you will probably find you need to raise your bonnet release, as I and two others have had to do on this forum. Five minute job though, just fiddly.

Also, the only other thing to need to worry about is cutting the holes out for the washer jets which is a bit of a pain but again no real biggy:
