Central Locking Issues!

I have a 1.2 s Seat Ibiza and have been having some weird issues with the central locking. When i press the lock button on the keyfob.. the car locks as expected, however if i press it again, the side repeaters flash and the front passengers door lock pops up but the rest stay locked! Anyone else had anything similar happen with theirs?

Sounds like the convenience module needs recoded on vag com mate

Hmm, I remember something weird happening with my passenger door when locking twice also. Can't say it's done it again though, since I adapted the coding through VCDS.

I'm having issues with my locking and a vw mechanic is fairly sure it is an issue with the door lock. Researching that led me to another thread here which pointed me to:http://forums.vwvortex.com/showthread.php?1542461-MKIV-door-locks-explained-why-you-re-having-problems!!!-(

If your car is from the VW 1998 -2002 platform it could be the same cause.

Ahhh i see, its really unusual as it comes and goes as it pleases! its actually locking first time now but i noticed that if i use the lock button inside the car on the door, all doors but the passengers side locks. il get it looked at.. i think my mates got a VAG COM so il be borrowing before i find my car has been nicked!

Thinking it could be a dodgy relay if recoding on vag com doesn't work, you'll need registered software to recode the convenience module the lite version doesn't allow it

Ahh I see... i think it mite be best to take it to my local vw specialist, hopefully wont cost too much to get sorted. my mates Vag Com is the lite version i believe but will take a look anyway. Thanks for the advice
