Changing of dials

Got a set of dials (silver faces) to replace my ordinary black dials. But when i put them in all worked then all of a sudden my oil light started flashing and a buzzer sounded. Yet my oil levels are fine.

What have i done wrong?

errrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr,,, oil buzzer ain't just oil level but oil pressure too,,, get the oil pump checked and if I were you I wouldn't turn the engine on,,,

thanks but my original dial dont have the buzzer in them. its only a 1.6

Vaguely remember this coming up before when someone tried putting 2.0 16v Silver dials into their 1.4... something to do with the wiring being different, hence the Oil light coming on.
