Clutch/Gearbox issue.

My gearbox blew up about a month ago and I have found and purchased a replacement from the code the dealer gave to me (085 ASD). It turns out, the box I have bought was from a toledo with a cable activated clutch and having just looked under my bonnet, I seem to have a hydraulic activated clutch.

Its due to go into the garage this week and I was just wondering if this is a problem? Can the hydraulic attachment already in place just bolt onto the new gearbox, or do I need to find another replacement?

mk2 ibiza are cable unless Tdi as cruiser says (golf 3 hyd too)

the cable lever parts are transferrable over to/from hydraulic - bolt either side of the housing/cylinder from memory but easy to do on sight

ASD sounds familiar ?? Tdi box ?

Yeah it is. From what i could see it looked as though you could just swap the parts over, i wasnt sure if there was something inside that would be an issue.
