my clutgh pedal hit the floor because a bracket on the pedal snapped ...could it be that ? Its a know fault with these cars, just got it re welded for £40

I had problems with the pedal initially taking an age to return then one day it stuck to the floor. I got the clutch fluid nipple checked/tested and it sorted it for about a day. After that I decided to just take it in for a check. turns out the slave cylinder housing was leaking and decided to get the slave changed along with the clutch and flywheel (expensive month)

Take my advice, if you go down that route, source the parts yourself (i.e. slave cylinder/flywheel/clutch - far cheaper)

good luck with it

this happened with mine, i got the pedal rewelded and its solid now but when the welds went and the pedal went to the floor it bend the piston coming out the master cylinder. when the pedal box was built back up the clutch pedal sat way too high as the master cylinder piston won't locate properly into the white clip that goes inside the re-welded part of the clutch pedal.

the piston getting bent has also caused a slight leak on the master cylinder as the fluid is now seeping out at the seal where the piston comes out

i now have to replace the master cylinder aswell :(
