So the dreaded clutch staying on the floor has happened on my way to work today, bit of air in the system and its working again, but ive seen from other posts its bound to resurface soon, so while the garage looks at my beloved they recommend that i source a new clutch while they’ve got the gearbox off to possibly change the slave cylinder. Any recommendations for a new clutch? Standard amk LCR

how many miles do you have? I'd stay with OEM which is Luk... the oem clutch, pressure plate, and center clutch slave cylinder can all be had for around 150 quid

Yeah so the original clutch lasted 115k miles not bad, the OEM clutches can handle 300lbft of torque as long as you don't drive like a tard. Unless you're going past stage 2 then I would stick with stock for driveability. If you're taking the car to track days I would get an SMF (OEM weight) kit for flywheel durability.

Badger5 Custom Map + TIP,

Thanks for your help guys, got the LUK clutch kit, as thats what came up as a part match. Hundred odd quid cheaper than the garage were going to charge me, without VAT too! So a small win on a big job
