    Hi guys,

I was recently in a car accident which resulted in my beloved project car being a total loss write off, the new project being ny first seat... seat ibiza 2005 mk4 sport (prefacelift).

With the mass amount i spent on the previous and losing it all im on a very very tight budget for the project as you can imagine.

I am looking for advice on coilovers, and noticed alot of people talking abot Jom? Ive always used spax or weitec and have never heard of them so a bit wary of how cheap they are.

Im looking for something to drop the car quite low on the standard rims, however due to a back injury in the accident i need a little comfort.

Can you offer any furthe advice or experience in regards to jom or something of a simular pricw range that may better suit my needs? Ive tried google and searching on here but it seems a minefield when it comes to reviews on jom!

Also will i need shortened drop links or anything else ?

    Thanks in advance!

    Evening,

    Thank you for your post.

Did you have a budget in mind for what you wanted to spend?

Yes shortened or adjustable drop links are advised when lowering the Ibiza 6L.

    Hi Damian!

    Thankyou for your quick response.

Id much rather be putting more into this but couldnt at present so im lm looking at the 2-300 mark unfortunately.

I wasn't planning on spending out yet but as the seat has decided to pop 2 coil springs i think itd be best for me to pop something onto all 4 corners for peace of mind.

    Thanks again

    Dan

    That's great, thanks Damian.

I heard FK can be unreliable and quite a harsh ride so I think I would rule hem out.

Are there any beenfits to the prosport kit over the jom? I see the adjustments are the same 40-80mm.

Okay, if theres no difference between the two i may aswell go for the Jom lol.

In regards to warranty however, on your website it says both prosport and jom come with 2 year warranty?

The Prosport kits now come with one years warranty and the JOM kits come with two years warranty.

Thats great thankyou for clearing that up Damian!

Like i said im just looking for something cheap for now to get my by after the previous write off and the new one popping 2 springs.

Sounds like the jom couls fit the bill unless the prosport offer any extra comfort.

Both offer near enough the same ride to be honest.

Your a star thankyou. Sorry for all the questions, just not used ti buying budget kits lol.

I understand the ride can be harsher on coils but its cheaper to do all 4 corner with a budget set of coils than just the 2 corner on standard from what i can see.

Thanks again! Will most likely order in next few days!

    Hi Damien!

Not been on here for awhile! Thankyou again for your help.

Just curious, i may be able to stretch to the £400 mark now. Onlt an extra £100 on previous budget, but was curious if you could recomend anything around that price mark, and something that warrants the increase in price compared to the previous mentioned kits.

    Thanks again

    Dan
