Hi guys, on Tuesday my coolant light came on and an audible buzzer did it's thing.. My 1st thought was "strange this is a weird one" I stopped and popped the bonnet to find the expansion tank almost empty

I got hold of water container and topped it up, took the car up to my mechanic mate a mile away and the coolant was dribbling from the under tray

Next day the tray came off and after running the engine for long enough at 2k revs (basically making the water pump work a bit faster) for the temp needle to come up to normal the engine, the leak turned out to be coming from the coolant sensor housing.. So the housing got replaced for the benefit of replacing 2 seals (genuine bits inc housing)

The car's done 100mls since with no apparent leaks and the level in the tank's stayed the same, odd fault but excluding labour £30 to fix it.. But it meant the battery had to come out together with removing the intercooler pipe on the n/s of the cylinder head for access.
